Local storage and session storage are related browser technologies that let a site save small amounts of data on your device — local storage persists until cleared, while session storage lasts only for the browser session. MemesVibe relies mostly on local storage rather than cookies.

3. Categories We Use

3.1 Strictly necessary (always on)

These are essential to provide the Service you request and cannot be switched off through our banner. They include:

• Theme preference (local storage): remembers your light/dark mode choice.
• Consent choice (local storage): remembers your cookie preferences so we don't ask on every visit.
• Security / anti-abuse: Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our contact and removal forms from bots, may set strictly necessary storage when you use those forms.

3.2 Functional (on-device, for your convenience)

• Game high scores (local storage): keeps your best scores for our quizzes and games on your device.
• Video project autosave (local storage): saves your in-progress video meme so you don't lose work. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.

3.3 Analytics (not currently used)

We do not currently use analytics cookies or third-party analytics tools. If we introduce privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will treat it as non-essential and load it only with your consent where required.

3.4 Advertising (not currently used)

We do not currently show personalized ads or set advertising cookies. If we introduce advertising (for example, Google AdSense), advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. Where consent is required, these will load only after you opt in through our cookie banner, and we will update this policy with details.

4. Third-Party Technologies

Some technologies are provided by third parties that help us run the Service:

• Cloudflare — provides the Turnstile anti-bot check on our forms and helps deliver template images via a content delivery network.
• Advertising and analytics partners — none active today; any future partners will be disclosed here and, where required, gated behind consent.

5. Managing Your Preferences

• Cookie banner: Use the banner on our site to accept or reject non-essential categories and to update your choice at any time.
• Browser controls: You can delete or block cookies and clear local and session storage through your browser settings. Doing so may reset preferences such as your theme, clear saved game scores, or remove an autosaved draft.

6. Do Not Track

Because we do not track you across other websites, we do not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals at this time. If we adopt technologies that make such signals meaningful, we will update this policy.
